After constant rise in prices, demand for cotton came down decreasing the prices. Supply was still tight but buyers were waiting for some fall in the prices. However, kapas or raw cotton traded up on low arrival. Traders said that enquiries were there but because of higher rate noone is interested to buy. Gujarat Sankar-6 traded down by 500 to 47,000-47,500 per candy of 356 kg. About 2,000 bales of 170 kg each arrived in Gujarat and 5,000 bales arrived in India. Kapas quoted up by 20 to 1,225-1,280 per 20 kg and gin delivery kapas stood at 280-1,305 per 20 kg. Cottonseed stood unchanged at 628-635 per 20 kg.
