A cyclonic circulation is presently seen over East Rajasthan and adjoining areas extending up to 3.1 km above sea level.The axis of Monsoon trough is seen extending from Phalodi, Ajmer, Tikamgarh, Sidhi, Ranchi, Digha, thence towards northeast Bay of Bengal.An offshore trough from Maharashtra to north Kerala also persists.A fresh cyclonic circulation has formed over North Bay of Bengal.Another cyclonic circulation is over west-central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh and is likely to intensify as a Low Pressure Area soon.During last 24 hours, Southwest Monsoon was active over Madhya Pradesh, South Rajasthan, South Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and North Kerala.Light Monsoon showers were also recorded in Delhi and adjoining Punjab, Haryana and some parts of Uttar Pradesh.During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Jabalpur received a whopping 61 mm of rain, followed by Jagdalpur where 46 mm of rain. Other areas to have received Monsoon rains include Barmer 23 mm, Visakhapatnam 46 mm, Ongole 30 mm, Mangalore 24.1 mm, Bhagalpur 24 mm.Normal Monsoon conditions were witnessed over other areas except extreme West Rajasthan.Rains are likely to intensify over most parts of Andhra Pradesh along with a few moderate spells mainly along the coastal region. Light to moderate rains are also expected over Chhattisgarh, Telangana, South Odisha, Southeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Vidarbha.Monsoon rains are also likely over West Coast, East Gujarat, South Rajasthan, extreme North Tamil Nadu along with a few areas in the hills.Light Monsoon rains will continue over North and Northwest Plains including Delhi.Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal will also witness light rains.Interior Peninsular India is expected to receive isolated to scattered Monsoon rain/thundershowers.
