Prices went up on the cotton market on Monday in the process of selective buying by spinners, dealers said. *The KCA official spot rate was unchanged at Rs 6,900/37.3Kg. *In Sindh and the Punjab, seed cotton prices were at Rs 2400-3000, they said. In the ready session, about 1200 bales of cotton finalised between Rs 6700-7500, they said. *Market sources said that supply of quality cotton was short, which pushing rates sharply up and it also looks that dearth of quality lint to push rates further higher in the coming days. Cotton analyst, Naseem Usman said that the availability of fine type is becoming difficult with the passage of time.
