The low-pressure area has now concentrated into a depression that is centered at 7°N and 74.5°E, around 300 km southwest of Thiruvananthapuram. This system is likely to move in north-northwest direction in the next 24 hours. The Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining North Pakistan. A cyclonic circulation is over North Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. Another cyclonic circulation is seen over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining Assam and Meghalaya. Weather Activity in last 24 hours During the last 24 hours, widespread rainfall was observed over Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Moderate to heavy rainfall occurred over the southern parts, while light rainfall was seen over rest of the parts. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Kodiakanal recorded 31.0 mm, Palayankottai 45.0 mm, Kanyakumari 29.0 mm. Light rains were also seen over South Interior Karnataka. Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur also witnessed light to moderate rains. Light rain and snow were observed over Jammu and Kashmir. Weather Forecast for tomorrow During the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain and thundershower activities are possible over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and adjoining regions. Scattered light to moderate rains are likely over Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka. Scattered rains will also be seen over the northeastern states of India. Isolated rain and thundershower activities are likely over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh and parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Rain and snow activities are expected to continue over Jammu and Kashmir. Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai are expected to witness rainfall activities. Meanwhile, Chennai and Kolkata will see a warm and humid day with partly cloudy sky. Hyderabad will also see a warm day with cloudy sky.
