Net sales of 321,400 running bales for 2017/2018 were down 16 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Vietnam (68,300 RB, including 1,300 RB switched from South Korea and 500 RB switched from Japan), Indonesia (68,100 RB, including 2,200 RB switched from Vietnam and 1,900 RB switched from Japan), Brazil (39,700 RB), Turkey (37,700 RB), and China (18,800 RB, including 2,200 RB switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,800 RB). Reductions were reported for Japan (3,700 RB) and unknown destinations (2,200 RB). For 2018/2019, net sales of 199,200 RB were primarily for Vietnam (89,300 RB), Bangladesh (37,400 RB), and Indonesia (26,100 RB). Exports of 414,400 RB were down 21 percent from the previous week, but up 14 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Vietnam (71,600 RB), China (58,900 MT), Pakistan (53,200 RB), Indonesia (48,900 RB), and Turkey (39,800 RB). Net sales of Pima totaling 7,400 RB for 2017/2018 were down 18 percent from the previous week, but up 42 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily reported for China (2,200 RB), Turkey (1,000 RB), India (900 RB, including decreases of 800 RB), and Egypt (900 RB). Reductions were reported for Japan (100 RB). Exports of 25,500 RB were down 6 percent from the previous week, but up 30 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (6,100 RB), India (5,100 RB), Peru (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (4,400 RB).
