The deep depression in the Arabian Sea has weakened into a well-marked Low-Pressure area and is now seen over Southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Lakshadweep area. This system is likely to move in a north-northwest direction and would weaken further. The Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation lies over Punjab and adjoining Rajasthan. Another cyclonic circulation prevails over Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. The third cyclonic circulation persists over Assam, Meghalaya and adjoining areas. Weather Activity in last 24 hours During the last 24 hours, the maximum and minimum temperatures settled above normal by 4°C to 5°C in many parts of North Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi. Scattered rain and snow occurred over Jammu and Kashmir. Light rain was recorded in few parts of Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rain was witnessed in Goa, parts of Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Interior Karnataka. Meanwhile, Lakshadweep Islands recorded extremely heavy rains. Minicoy recorded three digit rains to the tune of 167 mm and Amini Divi 60 mm. In the same time frame, Agathi also recorded 8 mm rain. Weather Forecast for tomorrow During the next 24 hours, light rain is likely to continue in parts of Jammu and Kashmir. In fact, some parts of Himachal Pradesh may also record light rain. Scattered light to moderate rain is possible over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
