Net sales of 338,400 running bales for 2017/2018 were up 5 percent from the previous week, but down 3 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Bangladesh (71,100 RB), Vietnam (65,300 RB, including 300 RB switched from China, 200 RB switched from Japan, and decreases of 100 RB), South Korea (50,800 RB, including 7,200 RB switched from China), Turkey (28,300 RB), and Hong Kong (22,100 RB). Reductions were reported for Switzerland (3,500 RB), Japan (800 RB), and India (100 RB). For 2018/2019, net sales of 147,500 RB were primarily for Vietnam (65,200 RB), South Korea (27,700 RB), and Mexico (15,000 RB). Exports of 425,100 RB were up 3 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Vietnam (80,200 RB), Pakistan (76,900 RB), China (67,800 RB), Turkey (37,900 RB), and Indonesia (34,200 RB). Net sales of Pima totaling 4,100 RB for 2017/2018 were down 45 percent from the previous week and 36 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily reported for Peru (1,900 RB, including decreases of 100 RB), India (1,400 RB), China (900 RB, switched from Hong Kong), and Honduras (500 RB). Reductions were reported for Hong Kong (900 RB), Switzerland (400 RB), and Japan (200 RB). For 2018/2019, net sales of 700 RB were reported for India. Exports of 19,700 RB were down 23 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (5,600 RB), India (5,500 RB), Vietnam (4,400 RB), and Austria (1,000 RB).
