Conditions improved as fire crews contained nearby wildfires. Fields were sprayed for aphid and lygus. The crop was in good condition and made good progress. The California State Department of Ag. Pink Bollworm program issued the final Upland cotton acreage mapped at 33,990 acres in the SJV. A statewide total of 47,925 Upland acres was reported.
